BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
September 8, 2021
The Directors of the Garden City Board of REALTORS®, Inc. met on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 9:30 AM.
PRESENT: Vicki Germann, President; Cindy Unger, Secretary-Treasurer; Past President, Tom Chappel; and Directors: Tami Hunter & Amanda Janda
ABSENT: Jeana Anliker, President Elect; Kris Davis, Secretary-Treasurer Elect; Maxine Atkinson, KAR Director; Becky Heiman, MLS Chairman; Director, Kim Grebe
The meeting was called to order by President Vicki Germann
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Vicki declared the minutes of the August 11, 2021 Directors meeting approved as presented.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
Vicki reported that currently we have 86 Board Members representing 15 Agencies, 85 MLS Recipients and
37 Affiliate Members.
FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT:
-Cindy presented the August 2021 Financial Reports. Tom Chappel made the motion to approve the August 2021 financial reports. Amanda Janda second the motion. Motion carried.
RPAC REPORT
No RPAC report for August 2021.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Realtor Relief Fund – It was agreed to hold a zoom meeting with Steve LaRue at Nov.10th Board meeting for him to discuss specifics of the Realtor Relief Fund.
- Legislative Committee chairman Rey Mesa asked to send a poll question to all Realtors on importance of Home Inspectors being licensed. It was agreed to do as such!
- The new Residential Form Review Committee was approved and Amanda Janda will be getting a meeting date and time set up.
- Record Retention – Director Tami Hunter motioned to approve adopting NAR’s rules on record retention, Past President Tom Chappel Second the motion. Motion carried.
- IDX Amendment – Secretary Cindy Unger motioned to approve the amendment of IDX statute 16.3.3 to read as follows: “All listings displayed pursuant to IDX shall identify the listing firm right underneath the listing picture in a readily visible color and typeface not smaller than the median used in the display of listing data. Displays of minimal information (e.g. thumbnails, text messages, tweets, etc., of 200 characters or less) are exempt from this requirement but only when linked directly to a display that includes all required disclosures.” Director Tami Hunter second the motion. Motion carried.
- President Vicki Germann motioned for the approval of 1 signature checks for the purpose of obtaining a debit card and to add Lyndsay Plankenhorn as a signer and authorized user of said debit card and remove Donna Wilkerson as an account admin. Director Tami Hunter second the motion. Motion carried.

- October 2021 KAR Conference – Past President Tom Chappel motioned for the approval to allow both Donna Wilkerson AND Lyndsay Plankenhorn to attend the October 2021 KAR Conference. Secretary Cindy Unger second the motion. Motion carried.
- 2022 Slate of officers – Past President Tom Chappel motioned to approve the 2022 Slate of Officers. Director Amanda Janda second. Motion carried.
